Errors in Escalator Etiquette

you probably knew something like this was coming, because i am sure im not the only person who hates this. you know who im talking about, the people that stand on the left side of the escalator and dont walk up. then they create a huge line of very angry and late people behind them. now granted a trip up and escalator is not a long time to wait and being stuck behind a person like that probably wont make you that late for what you are trying to get to. but its the annoyance factor that kills me. everyone knows that you walk up the left of the escalator and ride it on the right side. this is how the world works and how is it possible that people do not know that. so then what is your point when you are just standing there? did you just forget? are you doing that on purpose? in that case your just an asshole and dont even deserve to be on a machine that walks up stairs for you. now from me...i am not a person who walks up an escalator. lets face it, im lazy and plus the machine is doing it for me. what more do you want? but the thing is if im standing there waiting to go up and i see a person standing beside me i see the other people who are frustrated and i can understand where they are coming from. and the best part is the person who is standing there on the left side is usually a person on a cell phone completely oblivious to everything that is going on around them as if their life is so engrossing that they cannot even walk and talk at the same time. like thats some sort of difficult task. anyway...dont stand on the left side of an escalator and thats that, read this and try to better the world, ok not better but at least make it a less annoying place to live.

Can I Just Mention The Canadiens.

regardless of the title of my blog, i have to mention my Montreal Canadiens. they are chasing down the senators like cheetahs on the prowl and there is no longer a doubt in my mind that they will catch them. with the oustanding play of our young rookies and sophmores to the reinvention of a superstar like Mr. Kovalev these guys get what it means to be a team and everything they do is for the team and thats why they are winning. as long as they don't cry like Dandenault when he was benched for 2 games they should be alright. this being said, i will somehow relate it to the title of my blog. so it seems that the Canadiens will in fact make the playoffs. what i hate about that is all these people who all of a sudden are fans of the bleu blanc et rouge even though they did not follow the entire season. if you cant handle the team being crap you don't deserve to celebrate when they are good. thats my opinion. my friends and i have follwed the canadiens practically since we've been born. we had the highs 1993....not that i remember much about it. but we were there for the lows that were to follow till the slight highs with the Jose Theodore lead habs of the early 2000's. and we can spot these phonies a million miles away, always asking dumb questions, questions about the past that any decent hockey fan would know, saying the most obvious of statistics because you just saw it in the gazette that day. your favourite player being the one who is most liked by the city at that moment or the hero of the game the night before. you are not a fan, don't pretend to be one. if you aren't then i don't care i wont like you any less but if you aren't and you try to be then you are just humiliating yourself and disrespecting the Canadiens as well. they need their fans when they are down in the dumps so that they know that this city is still supporting them and when they rise up like now they know that those fans that were with them during the lows will definately be there for the highs and they don't need (or we the real fans) don't need imposters that are riding the wave of our beloved team just for a good time. this is a sport, this is a game and loyalty counts, there is no room for phonies..and come playoff time don't let me catch you with one of those flags on your car unless you really follow the Canadiens and would do anything to see them win.
